2. Select Trading Panel in the bottom navigation bar and choose CMC Markets from the broker list.
3. A pop-up window will prompt you to enter your CMC Markets login details. Select Connect, Authorise, and wait for your two accounts to be connected. This usually takes a matter of seconds. You will be asked to review and agree to CMC Markets’ Third Party Terms as part of the connection process.
To trade CFDs on shares with us through TradingView, you may need to activate a market data subscription in our trading platform. A market data subscription gives you access to share prices for a specific country or region. Most market data subscriptions are free, but in some cases a fee may apply. At the time of writing (March 2025), the only market data subscription that carries a fee is for Australian shares (A$24 a month).
To activate a market data subscription, log in to your live account on the CMC Markets web platform, go to Settings, then select Market Data and choose the country (or group of countries) whose stocks or share baskets you’d like to trade. A text box will then pop up. Read the on-screen information and select Activate, then Yes to agree to the subscription terms and conditions and OK to close the pop-up. You should now see a green tick next to your chosen country or countries.
If you don’t open any CFD trades on shares from the country or countries you selected, you’ll need to reactivate your market data subscription each month to see share price data in TradingView.

Before you begin trading with us through TradingView, take a moment to familiarise yourself with TradingView’s charts and other features to get the most out of the platform.
To view a chart for a financial instrument on TradingView, select Products from the top navigation bar, then select Supercharts. Search for the name or ticker symbol of the instrument you want to view.
Within your selected chart, you can set up an alert by selecting the alarm clock icon. Choose to be notified of changes in price or volume and set a range of other variables.
For example, you might want to receive alerts when an instrument rises to or falls below a certain price. You can also choose whether the alert is triggered the first time your criteria are met or every time.
You can also create alerts based on objects you’ve drawn, such as trend lines. When the price interacts with the line, the alert will be triggered.
You can annotate your charts with TradingView’s selection of technical analysis drawing tools, allowing you to make notes, leave comments, mark trends and patterns, predict price movements, and more.
The tools are in the left panel of a chart. You can save your favourite drawing tools by selecting the star next to a tool’s name or icon.
TradingView offers several indicators and chart overlays to help you analyse price action, trading volume, supply and demand, and more. Traders often use these tools to help them identify potential entry and exit points for their trades.

Then, in the top-left corner of the screen, you’ll see a red ‘SELL’ button and a blue ‘BUY’ button, showing the respective prices. Select one, and the order ticket panel will appear on the right.
Decide whether you want to place a market order, limit order or stop order. Set the parameters for your trade by filling in the various fields of your order ticket, including any take-profit or stop-loss levels. Once you’re happy with your order ticket, select ‘Sell’ or ‘Buy’ to execute your trade.
