BOQ Trading customer transition to CMC Invest

BOQ is committed to providing products that meet the needs of its customers, and sometimes, this means changing its products and services.

BOQ Trading customers have been trading on a platform powered by CMC Invests’ technology since 2011.  This transition provides an opportunity to seamlessly transition customers to CMC Invest with minimal disruption and additional benefits.

As a CMC Invest customer, you’ll have access to a range of additional benefits currently unavailable on the BOQ Trading platform such as $0 brokerage on US, UK, Japanese and Canadian shares (FX spreads apply), reduced online pricing, exclusive education tools, and a cutting-edge mobile app.

Unless you notify us that you wish to close your account, the transition from BOQ Trading to CMC Invest will take place on Tuesday, 14 May 2024. You will be notified by CMC Invest when your account has been successfully transitioned.

If you do not wish to transition to CMC Invest, you will need to contact our Client Services team on 1800 748 977 between 7:30am and 6.00pm (Sydney time) Monday to Friday and request to close your account before Thursday, 2 May 2024.  The BOQ Trading platform will no longer be accessible once the transition to CMC Invest has occurred.

You will be able to access your account by visiting www.cmcmarketsstockbroking.com.au and using your existing BOQ Trading login username and password.

Your cash account will remain unchanged for the time being.  CMC Invest will advise of any the changes if they arise in the future.

Yes, everything about your existing trading will transition across to CMC Invest.

After the transition, you will benefit from CMC Invests’ low online brokerage fees.  You can review the new pricing in CMC Invest’s Financial Services Guide.

If you have any open or partially filled orders when the transition occurs, they will be reflected in your CMC Invest account.  Please note, these orders will be subject to the rate at which they were placed. If you would like to benefit from CMC Invest’s rates, you will need to cancel and re-place the order again after the transition has occurred.  Please be mindful, any order cancellation will lose its order priority ranking.

Yes, your statements will continue to be stored in the same location on the platform as before.  You can access these documents under Account > Statements > EOFY Trading Statement.

If you would like to merge your BOQ Trading account with your existing CMC Invest account, please contact CMC Invest’s Client Services Team after the transition on 1300 360 071 between 7.30am and 7.00pm (Sydney time), Monday and Friday.

The way you fund your account currently remains the same.  CMC Invest will advise of any changes should they arise in the future.
