Tencent Holdings is a Chinese multinational technology company based in Shenzhen. The company is the world’s largest video game vendor and also provides popular platforms for social media, online payments, web portals, e-commerce and music streaming. Tencent has a joint venture with Spotify in Tencent Music Entertainment, and it also owns instant-messaging services WeChat and Tencent QQ. It’s one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing technology companies, and has stakes in over 600 tech start-ups in Asia.
