What is an IPO?

An IPO, or initial public offering, is the process through which a privately-held company sells its stock, or equity, to the public for the first time. A company can raise money by issuing either debt or equity. As an account-holder, you can take a position on newly-listed stocks globally through our platforms.

What is a capital raising

A capital raising (placement) is the process through which some companies choose to raise capital. Capital raisings were previously only available to fund managers and select clients of private investment banks. With ASX BookBuild, an initiative of ASX and On-Market Book Builds, you can now access capital raisings on our share trading platform with the option to invest whenever a listed company chooses to raise capital.
