How to start trading
Open your CMC Markets Next Generation account, and connect to TradingView in four simple steps:
- Apply for a CMC Next Generation account
Open a live CFD trading account on the Next Generation platform with us. Click the 'Open an account' button to get started.
- Add funds
Deposit easily via bank transfer or POLi. A credit. debit card, or PayPal can be used after the initial fund.
- Go to TradingView
Sign in (or sign up if you’re new to TradingView), find our broker profile and click ‘Trade’.
- Connect
Select ‘Connect’, enter your CMC Markets username and password, and complete the connection. You can now trade with us through TradingView.
If you're an existing CMC Markets client, follow the last two steps.

What is TradingView?
TradingView is a trading research platform where you can view charts, analyse trends and interact with an online community. Additionally, you can connect your TradingView account to your CMC Markets Next Generation account, enabling you to open, manage and close trades within TradingView.
Is TradingView free?
It’s free to sign up for TradingView’s ‘Basic’ plan. Paid plans that give traders access to additional features start from $12.95 USD a month and come with the option of a free, 30-day trial.
Is TradingView safe?
TradingView assures its customers that its platform and apps are secure. Because they don’t process any payments themselves, they don’t store or even have access to your payment details, the company says on its website. Additionally, TradingView offers advice on how to protect your account, including tips on passwords and two-factor authentication to help make your TradingView account even more secure
Can I make deposits and withdrawals through TradingView?
No. You must make deposits into and withdrawals from your CMC Next Generation account.
Which CMC Markets accounts can I connect to TradingView
You can connect your TradingView account to a Next Generation CFD trading or Next Generation FX Active account that you hold with us.
How do I connect to my CMC Markets account through TradingView?
Go to TradingView, select the CMC Markets broker profile, and click ‘Trade’. You will then see the option to connect to your CMC Markets account. Enter your CMC Markets username and password and complete the connection.
Alternatively, you can connect your account by navigating to 'Products' > 'Super Charts' > 'Trading Panel' and selecting CMC Markets from the list of brokers.
Can I manage my trades outside of TradingView?
Yes, you can. Once you’ve connected your TradingView account to your CMC Markets account, your trading activity will be synchronised. This means you’ll be able to see and manage all of your trades with us when you log into TradingView, our web platform or our mobile app, regardless of which one you used to place the trade.
Are all the CMC markets and instruments supported on TradingView?
Yes, they are. You can use TradingView to trade on all of the approximately 12,000 instruments that we offer. To trade shares with us through TradingView, you may need to activate a market data subscription in our Next Generation trading platform.
Where can I get help using TradingView and CMC Markets?
If you have any questions about TradingView, you might find the answer on their customer support page.
