Spread bets and CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. 72% of retail investor accounts lose money when spread betting and/or trading CFDs with this provider. You should consider whether you understand how spread bets and CFDs work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money.

Improved navigation & simplified menus

Posted in July 2019 by Ryan O'Doherty

We’re pleased to introduce our latest mobile update which introduces a number of usability enhancements to improve your experience with the app. We’ve also unified our spread betting and CFD trading apps into a single app.

Improved navigation

To improve the way you navigate around the app we’ve grouped the most commonly used features into three main categories in the lower navigation bar: ‘Account’, ‘Products’ and ‘Analysis’. Individual features are provided via tabs at the top of each option.

  • Tap or swipe through the tabs at the top of screen
  • Or swipe the middle of the screen from left to right to quickly browse the different tabs
  • All bottom nav icons will keep the last tab and position of the screen. So if you navigate away, your last view is retained when you return
  • To complement the new groupings we’ve also included quick access to our popular dashboard feature in the lower nav bar

Redesigned ‘More’ menu

With most of the core features now within the lower navigation bar, the more menu has been streamlined. It now focuses on ways to manage your account, make payments, change settings and access education material.

Unified app

We’ve unified our CFD and spread betting mobile apps into one. You’ll notice a new CMC branded icon when you update to the latest version. The new app will simply be called CMC Markets.

When you first log in to the new app, if you have both account types you will be asked which account you would like to log in to. You can switch accounts easily via the ‘More’ menu.

New Android navigation bar

With the introduction of larger screens on mobile devices we’ve introduced a new bottom navigation bar into our Android app for easier navigation.

We’ve grouped the most commonly used features into three main categories: ‘Account’, ‘Products’ and ‘Analysis’. Respective features are provided as tabs at the top of each option, which you can tap or swipe between.

Our popular dashboard feature has also been added as an option in the new bottom bar.
