How do I fund my account?

How can I withdraw funds from my account?

You can withdraw funds from your account online by clicking on the Payments icon on the CMC Markets Next Generation trading platform and then selecting the Withdrawals tab. Please note that for your protection and in an ongoing effort to combat money laundering and terrorist financing you must furnish us with a copy of your bank statement/bank book for the bank you intend to withdraw your funds to, prior to processing of your withdrawal request.

Please note that we may further request additional information and/or proof of identity before processing the withdrawal request.

Please note the following important timings for remittances:

You will receive your funds normally within 1-2 business days for local remittance or 3-4 business days for international remittance upon receipt of your withdrawal request. Any requests received after 4pm SGT will be processed on the following business day. Please ensure that the withdrawal request is completed correctly to avoid a delay in processing time and your funds. Alternatively you can call our Customer Services Team for assistance on 1800 559 6000 (local) or +65 6559 6000 (international).

Important note:

  • We will also need a copy of your bank statement before we are able to process your withdrawal request.
  • Please ensure that any cheque or transfer to and from you is made from a bank account in your name and not from another party.

How can I view my margin/leverage and asset class of a product?

For Web Platform

If you wish to see the margin/leverage and asset class of a product, please open the search bar by clicking on the blue magnifying glass on the top-left of the platform, click on the drop-down box and select “Product Overview”, then key in your desired product (E.g. EUR/USD). 

Alternatively, you can can select “Product Overview” via the top left hand corner dropdown option on your desired product chart. 

For Mobile App 

If you wish to see the margin/leverage and asset class of a product, click on Products > Search for your desired product > Click on the name of the Product > Click on Overview. 

Why is my funding delayed?

Your funding might be delayed due to your CMC Markets trading account number not being entered in the payment reference/description section.

When you perform a funds transfer, please kindly remember to indicate your CMC Markets trading account number in the reference/description section. Please also note that any payment from third-party sources will be returned to the bank account that it was transferred from, as we do not allow any third-party funding.

In order to link your bank account as a withdrawal destination, please enter your bank account details and upload a full copy of your electronic bank statement in PDF format or a screenshot via the 'Funding' module in the platform. Please ensure the bank’s logo, full name of the account holder, your residential address and full bank account number are shown on the statement. Please also ensure the statement is dated within the last three months. Do note the name on the bank account needs to match the name on the CFD trading account. 

For Joint Bank Accounts

If you are attempting to link a joint bank account, kindly send in the statement along with the front and back of the joint holder’s identity card and declare your relationship with the joint account holder.

If you need to hide any other information on the statement, please crop, or use black ink/dark coloured paper.

If you have multiple accounts shown on the statement kindly indicate to us which is the account you would want link.

How can I complete my annual client review / Customer Knowledge Assessment (CKA) on the platform and mobile?

Web Platform

Step 1: Log in to the web platform here.

Step 2: Select the information icon on the top right-hand corner

Step 3: Select ‘Terms of Use’

Step 4: Select ‘Complete Client Review’

Mobile App

Step 1: Login to the CMC Markets mobile app

Step 2: Click on ‘More’

Step 3: Select ‘Terms of Use’

Step 4: Select ‘Complete Declaration’

I am having trouble logging into my MT4 account, what can I do?

1. Please login to the web admin portal via this link

2. Once logged in, please click onto "Settings" > "Change Password" from the drop-down menu > set up a password for MT4 platform.

3. Once the MT4 password has been set up, please go back onto MetaTrader 4 application.

To log in to MetaTrader 4:

1. Click “File” on the top left  > “Log In to Trade Account”.

2. Within the log in window, uncheck the box “Save Account Information”.

3. Confirm the correct server for your Live account -> select the server 'CMCMarkets1-Singapore'.

4. Enter the above account number in the Login field.

5. Enter the password you have just set.

6. Check the box “Save Account Information”.

How can I reset my password?

You can reset your password by selecting ‘Forgotten Password’ on the login page. We will then send instructions for changing your password to the email address you registered when you opened your account.

How can I change my address/contact details?

To update your address, please email us at support@cmcmarkets.com.sg with either the following documents:

1) A copy of your ID (front + back)/Screenshot of Singpass;

2) Copy of your Bank Statement (dated within last 3 months); or

3) Copy of your Utility bill (dated within last 3 months)

Can I open multiple accounts and of different currency?

You may open multiple demo accounts.

However for live accounts, you can only have separate accounts denominated in Singapore dollar, US dollar and Hong Kong dollar. Any request for multiple accounts in the same currency would be considered on a case-by-case basis.

What is the difference between CMC Markets and CMC Invest?
